As a guided tour or expedition participant, you enter the shaft on an original shaft hoisting system - a cable ride to a depth of almost 300 meters. The mine train then takes you 1,000 meters further into a 19th-century mining field, where the mining development from the beginnings to modern times is demonstrated and explained with the help of show objects.

The extremely low mining tunnels in the mine with heights of only 40 and 80 centimeters give an idea of how hard the miners' physical work was. The operation of various compressed air devices used by the miners illustrates the enormous strain to which they were subjected. Try and see: as a visitor, you are allowed to operate our "Herkules" compressor yourself.
