To the west of the Röhrig shaft, old mining operations were uncovered by montane archaeological excavations directly at the copper shale seam. In four to five meter deep shafts (pits) one can see the mining from the beginnings of mining.

A weather furnace, the artificial pond, the boundary stones of old mining boundaries as well as an open oval shaft tube in dry masonry are among the sights of our well signposted and labeled nature trail.
