From family-friendly to adventurous: our visitor programs
The world underground is diverse: the traces of old mining and the work of nature have created a multitude of passages, watercourses and caves. Some of them are impressive witnesses of the hard work of the miners in the Sangerhausen mining district, others are marvels of geology. And so some of our visitors even climb knee-deep through the water for exploring the rock layers of the "Blessing of God Tunnel" in wade trousers or fight their way through difficult terrain to the "Grünes Gewölbe". Most guests, however, take it easy on their first visit and take the mine train to more easily accessible highlights underground. And for all of you: At the end of the tour, you will have earned your final meal with fat bread, coffee and mine schnapps!
