Schachtkuchenfest - this time without a festival, but with lots of Schachtkuchen!
The numerous lovers of sweet delicacies have certainly been saving the event for a long time. However, the traditional shaft cake festival planned for 17 May 2020 at Röhrigschacht cannot take place in its usual form this time.
Nevertheless, no one will have to miss out on the pleasure of the shaft cake.
As a substitute, there will be an off-site cake sale, so to speak a shaft cake festival without a festival, but with lots of shaft cake!
From 11.00 a.m. on 17 May 2020, visitors to the Röhrigschacht can choose from a wide range of cakes to put together their own cake package for home at moderate prices.
The fruit, cream, quark, poppy seed and crumble cakes will be baked in the tried and tested manner in the bakery of the RosenCafé in the Europa-Rosarium according to recipes handed down from the miners' families.
The cakes are sold in accordance with the applicable hygiene and distance regulations. We ask visitors to be prepared for this.
